A change in direction….

changes ahead

Running a patchwork and quilting business is hard work, it can be plenty of fun, yes, but it is hard work none the less. And we’ve been doing it for many years now (…some of us can claim decades!) through traditional and modern stylings, country and bright shades, market stalls, Quilt and Craft Fairs, classes, and websites. Over the years Gumnut Gear has changed and evolved, introducing e-patterns and phasing out kits, selling fabrics and retailing various quilting supplies and buttons… And now it is time for another change.

So we are farewelling our old website, giving away the retailing of supplies, and moving towards the future of digital, downloadable patterns, social media and blogging our journey. Now, I’ve got a handle on blogging, but Therese is going to need a few lessons, so we might get off to a bit of a slow start. And social media, well, that may take even longer to get the hang of, but we’re giving it a go on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

But, have no fear, Therese will continue to teach in the Gumnut Gear Studio, and our patterns will be available digitally through the Craftsy website. Physical patterns will continue to be available from the Studio and Gunnedah Fashion Fabrics. If you’d like your local patchwork or craft store to stock our patterns, please ask them to email us a wholesale enquiry!

Exciting times await!
